Shifts: Day, 07:30 to 16:30
Work setting: Employer’s home, Work in employer’s/client’s home
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years’
Credentials: CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Child Abuse Registry check, Criminal record check, Driver’s validity licence check, Drug test
Asset languages: Yoruba
Target audience:Â Supervise and care for multi-aged group of children
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to handle weight Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be organized, initiative and reliable
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication, excellent written communication and efficient interpersonal skills
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- The candidates should be able to Bathe, dress and feed infants and children, Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
- The candidates should be able to Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
- The candidates should be able to organize, activities such as games and outings for children, prepare and serve nutritious meals, prepare infants and children for rest periods
- The candidates should be able to sterilize bottles, prepare formulas and change diapers for infants, supervise and care for children, take children to and from school and to appointments, tend to emotional well-being of children and help children with homework
