Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of Basic Education (ABE 12) Grade 12
Experience: Candidates should have 1 to 2 Years experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have the ability to lift up to 23kg 50 lbs
  • The candidates should exhibit a good work attitude and a willingness to learn and team players

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess a Saskatchewan Class 1A license and have a clean drivers abstract
  • The candidates should demonstrate strong customer service skills and strong command of the English language
  • The candidates should have an understanding of Driver logbooks and bills of lading, Dangerous goods occurrence reports Inspection reports, Maintenance and repair report and Trip reports and accident reports

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to conduct timely and professional pick-up and delivery of various goods within the city and surrounding areas
  • The candidates should be able to accurately fill out necessary transportation documents and assist with loading and unloading goods
  • The candidates should be able to perform pre and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment, including overseeing vehicle conditions, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, and performing brake adjustments
  • The candidates should be able to receive and relay information effectively to a central dispatcher
  • The candidates should be able to transport hazardous products and/or dangerous goods in compliance with safety regulations
  • The candidates should be able to adhere strictly to company safety policies and procedures throughout all operations and plan travel schedules and efficient routes for deliveries
