Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed a post-secondary program in office or business administration
Experience: Candidates should have experience in administrative or clerical procedures attendance, payroll and telephone

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to independently solve problems, the ability to manage time and tasks and demonstrate professionalism

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have experience with computer software such as Microsoft Office and experience with Oracle systems
  • The candidates should have knowledge of administrative or clerical practices and procedures
  • The candidates should have knowledge of computer software and knowledge of Oracle Financial System
  • The candidates should possess a valid class 5 driver’s license and a current driver’s abstract satisfactory to the employer

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assist supervisory personnel in compiling and summarizing a variety of administrative reports
  • The candidates should be able to maintain records of expenditures on capital cost projects
  • The candidates should be able to prepare various activity and monthly reports in support of the highway maintenance management program and equipment maintenance system (EMS)
  • The candidates should be able to maintain stockroom and inventories and process a variety of personnel and payroll-related functions, including attendance
  • The candidates should be able to answer inquiries from the general public and regional staff and perform other related duties
