Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of 2-year post-secondary Diploma
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have the ability to effectively exchange information and ability to think critically
- The candidates should have the ability to manage time and tasks and ability to work independently
- The candidates should acknowledge the requirement for overnight travel and requirement for performing work in remote areas
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience with the management of inventories and experience providing logistical support and experience providing logistical support and field experience
- The candidates should have knowledge of fieldwork requirements and demonstrate professionalism
- The candidates should provide proof of a valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence and acknowledge the requirement to complete First Aid Training
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to manage, schedule, and maintain field vehicles and ATVs
- The candidates should be able to oversee shared field equipment and coordinate inventory control and upkeep
- The candidates should be able to maintain and organize repairs for small engines, outboard motors, rock-cutting saws, and other sample preparation equipment
- The candidates should be able to act as the staff member responsible for all building issues, including offsite facilities
- The candidates should be able to assist with field safety support and coordination for summer field crews
- The candidates should be able to provide general support during mobilization and de-mobilization of field activities, including travel to or from Labrador to support fieldwork
