Salary: $18.00 to $28.00 hourly (to be negotiated) 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Shifts
: Day, Evening
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: General manufacturing

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 to less than 5 years’
Measuring tools: Micrometers, Callipers, Gauges, Verniers
Equipment and machinery experience: Automatic lathes, Computer numerical control (CNC) machines, Engine lathes, Milling machines
Own tools/equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots
Security and safety: Bondable, Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to work in tight deadlines
  • The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods
  • The candidates should be willing to for overtime
  • The candidates should be able to handle weight Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables, repair machine tools and parts
  • The candidates should be able to set up and adjust production machineries/tools, fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
  • The candidates should be able to maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments, document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances
  • The candidates should be able to maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports, verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
  • The candidates should be able to compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces
  • The candidates should be able to set up, operate and maintain a variety of conventional and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools
  • The candidates should be able to verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
