Salary: $27.50 hourly for 80 hours bi-weekly

Work setting: Custom machine shop
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a trades certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 to less than 5 years
Measuring tools: Micrometers, Callipers, Calibre, Verniers
Equipment and machinery experience: Computer numerical control (CNC) machines
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to handle weight up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
- The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye coordination
- The candidates should be able to work in a noisy area
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be accurate
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers), operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations
- The candidates should be able to clean and maintain workspace, read and interpret blueprints,
- The candidates should be able to perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery
- The candidates should be able to enter codes specifying speed, feed and cut of the toolpath for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools
- The candidates should be able to prepare etching solution and immerse metal parts or workpiece into the etching solution to remove unwanted portions
