Salary: $16.55 hourly for 10 to 20 hours per week

Location: 132 Front St S Sarnia, ON N7T 2M4
Shifts: Evening, Night, Weekend, 20:00 to 02:30
Transportation information: Public transportation is available
Work setting: Restaurant, Urban area, Pub, Hotel, motel, and resort
Supervision: Smart Serve, and Food and Beverage Server Training

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic cash register
Own tools/equipment: Uniform

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to effectively work in noisy environments
  • The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel as needed and be comfortable in fast-paced environments
  • The candidates should be physically capable of handling demanding tasks and okay with standing for long periods
  • The candidates should work well under pressure and be able to lift weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have excellent oral communication skills and be good team players

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to ensure they are of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages and address customers’ complaints or concerns
  • The candidates should be able to present bills to customers and accept payment in various forms, describe menu items including daily specials, and enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
  • The candidates should be able to clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages
  • The candidates should be able to serve food and beverages, take orders, relay them to kitchen and bar staff, assist clients/guests with special needs, and provide customer service
