Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of Bachelor of Adult Education
Experience: Candidates should have Two years positive and progressive work experience in adult instruction

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have completed a Bachelor of Education and Adult Education Certification or coursework
  • The candidates should be fluent in one or more Indigenous languages reflective of the community in which they will be employed
  • The candidates should have familiarity with current distance education techniques and certified in First Aid
  • The candidates should provide a satisfactory criminal record check. Failure to provide a satisfactory check may deem them disqualified from the competition

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to facilitate the delivery of adult education and training programs in the assigned community based on the agreed-upon delivery plan for the region
  • The candidates should be able to serve as the primary point of contact for the College in the community, fostering positive relationships with stakeholders and community members
  • The candidates should be able to collaborate with the Regional Program Head and other college colleagues to ensure effective delivery of literacy, academic, skills-based, and Developmental Studies programming at the Community Learning Centre (CLC)
  • The candidates should be able to provide academic and administrative leadership in the planning, coordination, and assessment of the community’s educational
  • The candidates should be able to manage resources effectively to support the delivery of educational programs and services
  • The candidates should be able to instruct in a variety of subject areas as needed to meet the educational needs of adult learners
  • The candidates should be able to assess learner needs and provide appropriate support and guidance to facilitate educational success
  • The candidates should be able to monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement
  • The candidates should be able to maintain accurate records and reports related to program delivery, student progress, and outcomes
  • The candidates should be able to stay informed about trends and developments in adult education and apply this knowledge to enhance program delivery and effectiveness
