Salary: $48.00 to $55.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 to 50 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: London, ON
Shifts: Day, Weekend
Work setting: Willing to relocate and Community or retail pharmacy
Supervision: 1 to 2 people

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Computer and technology knowledge: Kroll Software 
Credentials: Certification for drug administration by injection and intranasal route and Pharmacy Examining Boards of Canada Certification 

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have hand-eye coordination, be able to manage a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and perform repetitive tasks
  • The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel, and have the ability to distinguish between colors
  • The candidates should have attention to detail, be able to work under pressure

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have client focus, dependability, accurate, and efficient interpersonal skills
  • The candidates should have excellent oral communication skills, excellent written communication skills, and flexibility
  • The candidates should take initiative, have good judgment, and be organized
  • The candidates should have reliability and be a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to order and maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies, advise customers on selection and use of non-prescription medication, and check prescriptions for proper dosage
  • The candidates should be able to compound prescribed pharmaceutical products by calculating, measuring, and mixing the right quantities of drugs and other ingredients, maintain medication profiles of customers including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs, and manage the storage, packaging, and distribution of medicinal products
  • The candidates should be able to supervise and coordinate the activities of other pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians, and other staff
