Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of post-secondary education
Experience: Candidates should have previous experience working with volunteers or volunteering
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to initiate conversations and speak confidently about opportunities to get involved with Canadian Blood Services
- The candidates should be available to work flexible hours, including days, afternoons, evenings, and weekends
- The candidates should be able to travel to community events as required. A mileage program is offered for the use of a personal vehicle and lift weights up to 10 kg 22 lbs
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate experience in sales, promotions, and marketing, and have a strong background in engaging with the public
- The candidates should have excellent verbal communication skills, able to convey messages effectively and strong personal initiative and a passion for supporting the cause
- The candidates should possess some combined with related experience, or an equivalent combination and an interest or background in Sales, Communications, Marketing, or Public Outreach
- The candidates should have experience using devices such as tablets and laptops and be familiar with using social media platforms for outreach and engagement
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to utilize their communication skills to educate and inform the general public about the need for donors locally
- The candidates should be able to draw on their ability to connect with people to fill up a robust contact platform, enabling further communication with interested community members
- The candidates should be able to work with volunteers, leveraging their excellent interpersonal skills to support the growth of awareness about Canadian Blood Services
- The candidates should be able to identify events, festivals, and other opportunities to set up activation booths, drawing on their experience in developing and managing sales opportunities
- The candidates should be able to organize, set up, and maintain supplies for activation display booths at events
