Work setting: Urban area, willing to relocate, relocation costs not covered by employer

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be comfortable working at heights and underground
  • The candidates should be tolerant of noisy environments and able to work in dusty and hot conditions
  • The candidates should be aware of and adhere to safety protocols in potentially dangerous situations
  • The candidates should thrive in a fast-paced work environment and be capable of working effectively under pressure
  • The candidates should be physically capable of meeting demanding tasks and adept at meeting tight deadlines
  • The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads efficiently

Candidate Status:

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transport construction materials, as well as clean and lubricate cranes
  • The candidates should be able to erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades, and assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
  • The candidates should be able to mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt, help the medical examiner in charge, and assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
  • The candidates should be able to instruct apprentices, level earth to fine grade specifications, and pave and rake asphalt
  • The candidates should be able to assist in demolishing buildings, clean and pile salvaged materials, and perform routine maintenance work
  • The candidates should be able to clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, and tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
  • The candidates should be able to direct traffic at or near construction sites
