Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors and capable of working at heights
- The candidates should be able to work in confined spaces and in noisy environments
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and be willing to work overtime when required
- The candidates should be capable of working under pressure, prepared for physically demanding tasks, and comfortable with repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads, handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs), and demonstrate attention to detail
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transport construction materials, clean and lubricate cranes, and erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
- The candidates should be able to mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt, assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction, and assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
- The candidates should be able to assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs, level earth to fine-grade specifications, and pave and rake asphalt
- The candidates should be able to assist in demolishing buildings, clean and pile salvaged materials, and perform routine maintenance work
- The candidates should be able to clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, and tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
- The candidates should be able to direct traffic at or near construction sites
