Salary: $24.00 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: West Kelowna, BC
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Morning

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Construction specialization: Industrial, commercial, and institutional, residential
Equipment and machinery experience: Concrete saws, grouting machine, air compressors, and forklift

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors and capable of working at heights safely
  • The candidates should be prepared to handle dangerous tasks with appropriate safety measures and be able to work in dusty environments, taking necessary precautions
  • The candidates should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and be physically capable of handling demanding tasks
  • The candidates should be prepared for repetitive tasks as part of their duties and able to handle heavy loads safely and effectively

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and be team players, capable of collaborating effectively with others

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transport construction materials, as well as assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
  • The candidates should be able to erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades, and tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
  • The candidates should be able to mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt, and clean and pile salvaged materials
  • The candidates should be able to assist the medical examiner in charge and clean up chemical spills and other contaminants
  • The candidates should be able to remove rubble and other debris at construction sites and direct traffic at or near construction sites
