Salary: $23.50 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Surrey, BC
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Flexible Hours, Morning
Transportation information: Own transportation
Work setting: Various locations, High-rise building construction sites, and Construction site

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors, regardless of weather conditions
• The candidates should be comfortable working at heights, adhering to safety protocols
• The candidates should be comfortable working underground, following safety guidelines
• The candidates should be able to work in noisy environments, using appropriate hearing protection
• The candidates should be prepared to work in dusty conditions, using respiratory protection as needed

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transport construction materials efficiently
• The candidates should be capable of erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required
• The candidates should assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and constructing roofs under supervision
• The candidates should clean and organize salvaged materials for reuse as directed
• The candidates should remove rubble and debris from construction sites promptly and safely
• The candidates should cut materials using power tools or by hand, following safety guidelines
• The candidates should provide support and assistance to skilled tradespersons as needed
