Salary: $26.50 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week

Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Overtime, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Own transportation and valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Urban area, various locations, rural area, and industrial

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Area of specialization: Industrial, commercial, and institutional, and residential
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, and gloves

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in noisy and dusty environments
  • The candidates should be able to work in physically demanding conditions, have attention to detail, and be capable of standing for extended periods
  • The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel as needed

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be accurate, demonstrate excellent oral communication, exhibit flexibility, and demonstrate reliability
  • The candidates should be team players

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transport construction materials, erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades, and mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • The candidates should be able to assist the medical examiner in charge, assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs, and level earth to fine grade specifications
  • The candidates should be able to pave and rake asphalt, assist in demolishing buildings, and clean and pile salvaged materials
  • The candidates should be able to perform routine maintenance work, clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, and remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • The candidates should be able to tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction and direct traffic at or near construction sites
