Job Description:

Salary: $23.00 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Delta, BC
Shifts: Evening, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Area of specialization: Industrial, commercial, and institutional, Residential
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be willing to work outdoors as part of their duties and be comfortable working at heights as required
• The candidates should be able to work in dusty environments
• The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• The candidates should be physically capable of handling demanding tasks, including lifting weights up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
• The candidates should be comfortable with repetitive tasks and capable of handling heavy loads

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should be flexible, reliable, and a team player

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transport construction materials
• The candidates should be able to mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
• The candidates should be able to help the medical examiner in charge and assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
• The candidates should be able to assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites and assist in demolishing buildings
• The candidates should be able to clean and pile salvaged materials and clean up chemical spills and other contaminants
• The candidates should be able to remove rubble and other debris at construction sites and tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
• The candidates should be able to direct traffic at or near construction sites
