Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Area of specialization: Residential
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles, and Gloves
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working at heights and in noisy environments
- The candidates should be prepared to work in dusty and hot conditions
- The candidates should be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility and exhibit reliability
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transport construction materials
- The candidates should be able to operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position, or place equipment and materials
- The candidates should be able to erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
- The candidates should be able to operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into the earth to provide support for buildings and other structures
- The candidates should be able to mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
- The candidates should be able to assist in drilling and blasting rock and framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
- The candidates should be able to assist in demolishing buildings and performing routine maintenance work
- The candidates should be able to clean up chemical spills and other contaminants and remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
- The candidates should be able to tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction and direct traffic at or near construction sites
