Salary: $18.00 to $19.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Dawson, YT
Shifts: Evening, Early Morning
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Computer and technology knowledge: Interact machine and price scanner
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have a strong attention to detail and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, willing to work overtime when required, and meet tight deadlines
- The candidates should be capable of working effectively under pressure, comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling, and possess hand-eye coordination skills
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads, be physically fit for demanding tasks, and willing to perform repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods and comfortable with walking as part of their duties
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be team players and demonstrate reliability and dependability
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate a cash register proficiently and process various forms of payment, including cash, cheques, and credit/debit cards
- The candidates should be able to scan items accurately at the checkout, receive payment for goods or services from customers in a timely manner, and engage in suggestive selling to promote additional purchases
- The candidates should stock shelves, maintain cleanliness in the counter area, greet customers warmly upon their arrival, and provide excellent customer service throughout the transaction process
- The candidates should be able to verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products in accordance with legal regulations
