Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have 4th class power Engineering Certification
Experience: Candidates should have experience with safety management systems, practices, regulations, and standards
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be legally eligible to work in Canada
- The candidates should preferably have experience in Refinery or Asphalt operations
- The candidates should possess a high level of knowledge of refinery operations
- The candidates should exhibit strong mentorship and leadership attributes
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to supervise and direct all site operations and be accountable for the performance and results of the operations team
- The candidates should be able to schedule staff and ensure they are trained and competent for their roles
- The candidates should be able to observe work and confirm adherence to policies and procedures and support staff with training and professional development
- The candidates should be able to provide leadership and coaching to all direct reports and evaluate performance, providing feedback to staff
- The candidates should be able to conduct walk-arounds to ensure contractors and carriers are following site requirements and check the quality of permits, LOTOs, FLHAs, and Tailgate meetings
- The candidates should be able to participate in formal “health and safety” audits and support Cenovus’ Safety Commitments and Life Saving Rules, ensuring observations, PPE checks, Hazard IDs are being conducted and recorded by staff
- The candidates should be able to create and follow up on corrective action plans and collect data and report KPIs to the Superintendent
- The candidates should be able to approve and achieve supply targets and schedule inbound shipments
- The candidates should be able to track, call-in, and release railcars and manage other raw material inventories to meet production plans
