Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or Intermediate or a Bachelor’s
Experience: Candidates should have experience and/or a background in law enforcement, RCMP administrative and operational policies, and procedures

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an RCMP security clearance

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be knowledgeable in Operational Statistical Reporting (OSR), Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR), the Criminal Code of Canada, Federal and Provincial statutes, RCMP databases, and the RCMP organizational chart
  • The candidates should possess responsibility/accountability, professional credibility, communication excellence, decision-making skills, technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, conflict resolution skills, service excellence, team-building capabilities, and innovation

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to serve as subject matter experts in Operational Statistical Reporting (OSR) and Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR)
  • The candidates should be able to review all operational police investigative files, searching for statistical data required to accurately classify and capture the information required to satisfy Canadian Centre for Justice Statistics (CCJS) reporting requirements
  • The candidates should be able to analyze information, seek clarification, identify deficiencies, and request corrective action be taken
  • The candidates should be able to review and audit operational files to ensure compliance with legal obligations and policy requirements.
  • The candidates should be able to ensure the integrity of the RCMP and Kelowna Regional Detachment by identifying issues that have the potential to become problematic and suggesting appropriate remedies
  • The candidates should be able to coach RCMP cadets with respect to quality assurance issues
  • The candidates should be able to assist in identifying training requirements
  • The candidates should be able to prepare and develop lesson plans, handouts, and PowerPoint presentations for identified needs
  • The candidates should be able to support staff at Kelowna Regional Detachment
  • The candidates should be able to provide written and/or verbal guidance to Regular Members
