Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should hold a Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum and Instructional Design
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of three years of experience in academic quality and curriculum development

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should exhibit proven facilitation skills and experience in developing curricular resources

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have related field PhD and possess knowledge and experience with EDI and inclusive design frameworks as they relate to curriculum development and academic quality
  • The candidates should preferably have prior teaching experience at the post-secondary level and demonstrate excellent communication skills, including written, editorial, and presentation abilities
  • The candidates should have research experience with a focus on analyzing and reporting qualitative and quantitative data
  • The candidates should have a detail-oriented approach, with a strong focus on academic quality and adherence to external and internal policies and procedures and be familiar with CVS, MCU, and OCQAS

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to consult with Academic Faculty teams to navigate, manage, and complete the program review and consent renewal process, including preparing required internal and external documentation
  • The candidates should be able to provide guidance and support to Academic Faculty teams in collecting and analyzing program, institutional, and socio-economic data industry trends, employment outlook, labor market demand) to enable evidence-informed decision-making and academic quality
  • The candidates should be able to ensure that programs are designed with an evidence-based approach, including industry consultations
  • The candidates should be able to support curriculum analysis to ensure alignment with the Ontario Qualifications Framework (OQF), external bodies, Sheridan policies, and established best practices in curriculum development and inclusive design
  • The candidates should be able to promote and support the adoption of inclusive approaches and EDI principles in program review and development consultations while developing related resources, workshops, and initiatives
