Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Equipment : Industrial vacuum cleaners/power sweepers, Carpet cleaning machine, Waxing machine, Power tools, Power lawn mowers, Small tractors (lawn/snow removal attachments), and Snowblower
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be capable of handling physically demanding tasks and be able to perform bending, crouching, and kneeling

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be dependable in their responsibilities, reliable in meeting their commitments, and have good judgement in decision-making
  • The candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be flexible in adapting to various situations
  • The candidates should demonstrate initiative in their work and be organized in their work processes

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs, operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse, and empty trash cans and other waste containers
  • The candidates should be able to wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings, and clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
  • The candidates should be able to make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, contact tradespersons for major repairs, and contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment
  • The candidates should be able to perform safety and security checks, show apartments and offices to prospective tenants, and perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
  • The candidates should be able to water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas, and work with minimal supervision
