Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics and Data Science
Experience: Candidates should have 3 years of experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work as team members, the candidates should be able to work both collaboratively and independently

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have previous experience analyzing data, preparing, and making presentations to groups, including senior management and previous experience in data analytics, data governance, and dashboard development
  • The candidates should have intermediate Geographic Information System (GIS) and database query and reporting tools
  • The candidates should have excellent organizational and problem-solving skills along with attention to detail
  • The candidates should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with diverse levels of staff, management, and third-party billing providers

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide data analysis, reporting, and insights to support business decision-making and customer satisfaction for the Meters and customer billing
  • The candidates should be able to monitor and troubleshoot data issues, anomalies, and discrepancies for the meters and customer billing data, and propose solutions and improvements
  • The candidates should be able to train meters and customer billing staff on the use of Business Intelligence products and promote data literacy and awareness across the organization
  • The candidates should be able to collaborate with business partners, IT teams, and external vendors to understand the data needs, challenges, and opportunities for the Meters and customer billing domain
  • The candidates should be able to develop new BI products that can improve business operations
  • The candidates should be able to ensure data security and integrity, manage requests for access to data from City of Calgary employees, contractors, and consultants, and ensure appropriate and approved use of customer billing data
