Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Asset languages: Vietnamese, Mandarin
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as college/CEGEP or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Computer and technology knowledge: MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel
Customs broker specialization: Customs legislation, Tariffs
Security and safety: Driver’s validity licence check, Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to work in tight deadlines
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizen and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position.
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to prepare and process import and export documents and other forms on behalf of clients
- The candidates should be able to sign import and export documents on behalf of clients using power of attorney
- The candidates should be able to quote duty and tax rates on commodities
- The candidates should be able to arrange for insurance coverage for cargo or ships
