Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Equipment and machinery experience: Manure spreader, Tractor, Loader
Automated systems experience: Milking system (automated)

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
• The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
• The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
• The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination
• The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
• The candidates should be able to do manual dexterity
• The candidates should be able to work in livestock, at heights, confined spaces, wet/damp area, noisy area, odours, outdoors, hot area, dusty area, and cold/refrigerated area

• The candidate should be organized, flexible, and judgmental
• The candidates should have efficient interpersonal skills

Candidate Status:

• Canadian citizen and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position.
• International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to do calving, clipping, handling animals, monitoring animal health,  feed and tend animals
• The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens, milk cows
• The candidates should be able to detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry, write daily basic progress reports, recognize and treat certain livestock health problems
• The candidates should be able to set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops
• The candidates should be able to perform general farm duties, maintain work records and logs
• The candidates should be able to assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures
• The candidates should be able to ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
