Village Ranch Ltd. based in Sorrento, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Dairy Herdsperson. Village Ranch Ltd. is known for taking care cattles and supplying dairy related products all over Canada. Our company is known to use advanced dairy farming techniques. We are known to supply quality milk, eggs and meat all over Canada. In all, we are a group of employees working on dairy farming. We hire foreign workers to fill labour or skill shortages on a temporary basis. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible. The position of Dairy Herdsperson is approved by the LMIA.

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as a high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate or a diploma
Experience: Candidates need an experience of 1-2 years
Equipment and Machinery Experience: Milking system (automated)
Area of Work Experience: Animal breeding

Other Requirements:

• The candidate should be a team player and have judgement skills

Responsibilities:

• The candidate should be able to perform tasks such as calving, monitoring animal health and formulate feeding program
• The candidate should be able to recognize and treat certain livestock health problems
• The candidate should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
• The candidate should be able to perform general farm duties
