Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a high school or equivalent diploma
Experience: Candidates should have 1+ years of computer networking experience or have 1+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in an environment that operates 24/7
- The candidates should be able to participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have 1+ years of Linux troubleshooting, such as firmware flashes, and BIOS configuration experience
- The candidates should have experience working in a Data Center environment
- The candidates should have an understanding of network design, protocols, and troubleshooting
- The candidates should have an understanding of storage devices
- The candidates should have experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system
- The candidates should possess an Associate’s degree or 2+ years of professional or military experience in an IT-related field
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to report to a site location in the Seattle, WA Metropolitan area
- The candidates should be able to potentially travel up to 60% of the time to various US and Canada based locations
- The candidates should be able to work in Amazon Web Services (AWS), a fast-paced technology company and a leader in the world of data centers
- The candidates should be able to help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations
- The candidates should be able to perform hardware and network diagnostics followed by physical repair and may include participation in an on-call rotation
- The candidates should be able to prioritize work, demonstrate organizational skills, engage in effective communication, and react quickly, as these are critical to being successful in the role
- The candidates should be able to work both independently and with a team
- The candidates should be able to install equipment, create documentation, innovate solutions, and fix problems within the Data Center Space
