Job Description:

Position: Delivery driver
Salary: $15.50 to $16.50 hourly (To be negotiated) for 32 to 48 hours per week
Location: Victoria Cove, NL
Shifts: Flexible Hours
Transportation information: Local, Driver’s abstract and Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Rural area

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots and Cellular phone
Credentials: Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles)
Security and safety: Bondable and Driving record check (abstract)

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• The candidates should handle physically demanding tasks and lift and handle heavy loads, up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products, and demonstrate professionalism in customer service
• The candidates should be able to accept payment or invoices for items delivered, receive and relay information to central dispatch, and keep a record of items received and delivered
• The candidates should be able to prepare, package, and restock goods, load and unload goods, and follow directions and read maps
• The candidates should be able to record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems
