Salary: $18.00 hourly for 40 hours per week

Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence
Transportation/travel experience: Local

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, cellular phone
Credentials: Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles), forklift operator certification

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to pay attention to detail, work in a fast-paced environment, and work under pressure
  • The candidates should be able to handle physically demanding tasks and handle heavy loads

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be organized, demonstrate reliability, and be punctual

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products, prepare, package and restock goods, and transport and handle dangerous goods
  • The candidates should be able to load and unload goods, sort packages for delivery, and use maps and other trip planning aids
  • The candidates should be able to record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems, pay and receive payments for goods, and perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of the vehicle

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
