Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Dog training expertise: Obedience
Area of specialization: Animal husbandry
Animal specialization: Domestic animals/pets (cats, kittens, puppies, dogs, etc.)Â
Credentials: Pet first aid course
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in hot environments and be comfortable working outdoors
- The candidates should be able to work in wet or damp conditions and in noisy surroundings
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate attention to detail and be physically capable of handling demanding tasks, including handling heavy loads
- The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel as needed, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and stand for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle weights up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and weights more than 45 kg (100 lbs)

- The candidates should prioritize client focus and exhibit dependability, possessing efficient interpersonal skills and demonstrating excellent oral and written communication
- They should also demonstrate flexibility, exercise good judgment, and exhibit reliability while being team players
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bathe and shampoo animals to maintain their cleanliness and hygiene, prepare food and feed animals according to their dietary requirements, and clean and disinfect cages, pens, aquariums, kennels, runs, stalls, and enclosures to ensure a clean and healthy environment for animals
- The candidates should be able to keep records of animals treated, documenting their health status and any treatments administered, assist with inoculation and treatment of animals under the supervision of a veterinarian, and assist animal breeders in handling and nurturing animals, ensuring their well-being and proper care
- The candidates should be able to clean animal ears to prevent infections and maintain ear health, maintain and order supplies necessary for the care of animals, ensuring availability of essential items, clip animal nails to prevent overgrowth and potential injuries, and perform dental cleaning on domestic animals to promote oral health and hygiene
