Salary: $17.50 to $20.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 hours per week

Transportation information: Public transportation is available
Work setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment, Work in employer’s/client’s home

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months 
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be non-smoking
• The candidates should be able to handle a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling for extended periods
• The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads
• The candidates should be adept at handling repetitive tasks
• The candidates should be able to work under pressure, in a fast-paced environment, and physically demanding
• The candidates should have a strong attention to detail
• The candidates should have the ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

• The candidates should have punctuality, dependability, reliability, organized, initiative, judgment, and flexibility
• The candidates should have excellent oral and written communication, and efficient interpersonal skills
• The candidates should have strong values and ethics

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to launder clothing and household linens, mend clothing and linens, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and shop for food and household supplies
• The candidates should be able to wash windows, walls, and ceilings, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, able to stock the linen closet, and pick up debris and empty trash containers
• The candidates should be able to dust furniture, distribute clean towels and toiletries, make beds and change sheets, and clean changing rooms and showers
• The candidates should be able to sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors
• The candidates should be able to clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
