Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a High School Diploma
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work outside in all-weather conditions, including summer heat and winter cold, as this job is 100% outdoor work
  • The candidates should be able to lift a 50 lbs. weight overhead, as bridge plates typically weigh around 50 lbs
  • The candidates should be able to sustain physical work on a daily basis and be available for weekend and holiday work

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess GED equivalent

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to ensure all work cards are identified to the driver number
  • The candidates should be able to conduct visual inspection of assigned vehicles and ensure the vehicle is properly stocked for the day’s work
  • The candidates should be able to load and unload railcars on designated tracks and within designated parking zones
  • The candidates should be able to pick up team members and continue unloading railcars on the track until all railcars are empty
  • The candidates should be able to maintain work instructions generated by the Supervisor, work in accordance with team members to open railcar doors and install bridge-plates between railcars
  • The candidates should be able to unchain bi-level and tri-level railcars on the track,  perform other related duties
