Salary: $29.00 to $35.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Calgary, AB
Work setting: Remote location, Various locations, and Willing to relocate

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 years to less than 5 years
Communication systems experience: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
Own tools/equipment: Cellular phone
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have attention to detail, be capable of handling heavy loads, and be physically demanding
  • The candidates should be comfortable with sitting for extended periods and be able to work in dusty environments

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have excellent written communication skills, be flexible, and be organized
  • The candidates should be hardworking

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to address customers’ complaints or concerns, load and unload goods, and operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • The candidates should be able to oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, pay and receive payments for goods, and perform emergency roadside repairs
  • The candidates should be able to receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, and tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo
