Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as substance abuse/addiction counselling, social work, general, criminology, corrections, college/CEGEP, or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: CPR Certificate
Security and safety:Â Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to do personal and social adjustment and health (substance abuse, gambling, behaviour disorders)
- The candidates should be able to prevent crime
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be client focus, initiative, and judgmental
- The candidates should have interpersonal awareness, values and ethics, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to implement life skills workshops
- The candidates should be able to assess client’s relevant skill strengths and development needs
- The candidates should be able to conduct follow-up assessments, assist clients/guests with special needs
- The candidates should be able to resolve conflict situations, assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs
- The candidates should be able to implement substance abuse treatment programs
- The candidates should be able to implement behaviour management programs
- The candidates should be able to develop service intervention logic models and outcome measures
