Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to handle bending, crouching, and kneeling, perform physically demanding tasks, and manage repetitive tasks
• The candidates should be able to work while standing for extended periods and work under pressure

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should be flexible, demonstrate good judgment, and be reliable
• The candidates should work effectively as a team player

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints, fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings, and fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
• The candidates should be able to finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required, measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets, and mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency
• The candidates should be able to position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists, smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry, and spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings
• The candidates should be able to tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound, install exterior and interior steel studs, and install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools
• The candidates should be able to install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation and work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
