Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to supervise other workers and apply successive coats of compound, sand seams, and joints
- The candidates should be able to cure freshly plastered surfaces, cut and install metal corner beads, and fabricate/install suspended metal ceiling grids
- The candidates should be able to fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks, finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs in the finish coat if required
- The candidates should be able to measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets, mix plaster ingredients, and tape over joints using a taping machine
- The candidates should be able to attach metal or gypsum lath, cut openings in lath, install acoustic tile, hangers for suspended ceilings, and metal studs for composition wallboard or lath
- The candidates should be able to install exterior and interior steel studs, metal stud framing, and furring for interior walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools
- The candidates should be able to install vapor barriers, thermal and sound insulation, prepare wall and ceiling layouts, and read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
- The candidates should be able to erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms
