Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as college, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years’
Credentials:Â Child development supervisor (ECE level 3), Child development worker (ECE level 2), Emergency child care first aid and CPR, Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Montessori Early Childhood Teacher Certificate, CPR Certificate
Experience with special needs children:Â Children with an intellectual disability, Children with behavioural issues, Children with allergies, Children with asthma, Children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) or attention deficit disorder (ADD)
Security and safety:Â Criminal record check, Vulnerable sector check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to work in non-smoking area
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be punctual, dependable, flexible, and reliable
- The candidates should have interpersonal awareness, values and ethics, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player

- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
- The candidates should be able to lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest, plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
- The candidates should be able to support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children, engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts
- The candidates should be able to provide opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity, submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors, knowledge of Day Nurseries Act
- The candidates should be able to maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties, guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits, establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
- The candidates should be able to prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, knowledge of licensing regulations, establish guidelines for behaviour, assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members
- The candidates should be able to observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor, discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings, attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
