Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Credentials: Emergency child care first aid and CPR, Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Child Abuse Registry check, and vulnerable sector check

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assess the children’s development to prepare a learning plan tailored to their needs and develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
- The candidates should be able to maintain daycare equipment and prepare snacks, as well as arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
- The candidates should be able to perform storytelling, lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
- The candidates should be able to encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity, and engage them in activities such as preparing crafts
- The candidates should be able to guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, and observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems, preparing reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
- The candidates should be able to submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors, and discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings
- The candidates should be able to establish guidelines for behavior, plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children, and establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
