Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as college/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Credentials:Â Emergency child care first aid and CPR, Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, and First Aid Certificate
Security and safety:Â Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to handle physically demanding tasks and work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be able to perform bending, crouching, and kneeling
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should demonstrate punctuality and dependability
- The candidate should show flexibility and reliability
- The candidate should uphold strong values and ethics
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children, do storytelling, and lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest
- The candidates should be able to encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity, engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts, and guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
- The candidates should be able to prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor, and discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings
- The candidates should be able to attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children and plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
