Salary: $20.25 hourly for 35 to 40 hours per week

Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks, handle physically demanding tasks, have attention to detail, work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and bend, crouch, and kneel
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be punctual, dependable, have efficient interpersonal skills, have excellent oral communication skills, have excellent written communication skills, be flexible, have interpersonal awareness, be reliable, be a team player, have strong values and ethics, be creative, be honest, and be able to multitask
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties, bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers, maintain daycare equipment, and engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
- The candidates should be able to lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest, synthesize the overall situation of the children and communicate the information to the parents, and assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records
- The candidates should be able to encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music and physical activity, guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing and toilet habits, prepare snacks, arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
- The candidates should be able to observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisors, submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors, and attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
