Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 yearsÂ
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be proficient in performing repetitive tasks efficiently
- The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling as necessary
Other Requirements:

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, engage in storytelling activities, and lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
- The candidates should be able to support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records, and engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
- The candidates should be able to provide opportunities for children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity, guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, and maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties
- The candidates should be able to prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors, and discuss the progress and problems of children at staff meetings
- The candidates should have knowledge of the Day Nurseries Act and licensing regulations, attend staff meetings to discuss the progress and problems of children, and establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
