Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Security and safety: Bondable
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in noisy conditions
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods, be comfortable bending, crouching, and kneeling, and work in a fast-paced environment
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to visually inspect products for quality, cut glass along marked outlines or around patterns using hand tools, and place patterns on or under glass for cutting
- The candidates should be able to spray or swab moulds with oil solutions to prevent adhesion of glass, coat glass with silver or other metals and materials, and smooth rough edges using belt sanders or smoothing wheels
- The candidates should be able to place sheets of glass on padded tables or in jigs, and measure and mark glass
