Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Other trades certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Electric motors and Switchgears
Own tools/equipment: Tools, Safety equipment/gear and Steel-toed safety boots
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in noisy environments
- The candidates should be able to work in dusty environments
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electro-mechanical equipment
- The candidates should be able to use machining tools to fabricate or recondition parts
- The candidates should be able to replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators, and other components
- The candidates should be able to wind, assemble, and install various types of coils
- The candidates should be able to read and interpret blueprints
- The candidates should be able to perform on-site servicing and repair
- The candidates should be able to test and repair or replace faulty wiring or components in electrical switchgear
