Salary: $1,372 to $3,430 bi-weekly (To be negotiated) for 80 hours bi-weekly
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Shifts: Day, To be determined
Apprenticeship training: Pre-apprenticeship training, level one apprenticeship training, level two apprenticeship training, level three apprenticeship training, and level four apprenticeship training
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Registered Apprenticeship certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Own tools/equipment: Tools, safety equipment/gear, steel-toed safety boots, and hard hat
Credentials: Electrician Trade Certification, First Aid Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, and Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads and have strong attention to detail
- The candidates should be willing to work overtime as required
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication skills, be organized, and be a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to install and replace electrical controls and panel boxes, and demonstrate professionalism in customer service
- The candidates should be able to install underground wiring and cables, test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults, and the integrity of circuits
- The candidates should be able to connect power to audio and visual equipment, instruct apprentices, and supervise other workers
- The candidates should be able to renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures
