Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French and English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a College Diploma (DEC) in Electrical Engineering Technology: Automation and Control
Experience: Candidates should have experience with Siemens S7 programmable logic controllers
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should hold a License C (Non-construction electrician skills card) or have a minimum of 2500 cumulative hours
- The candidates should have knowledge of Rockwell Automation product suites, including Control Logix, Kinetix, Panel View, and Power Flex
- The candidates should be familiar with production systems in a manufacturing environment, demonstrate an ease in learning new technologies
- The candidates should have strong problem-solving skills and proficiency in related technical processes, possess effective oral and written communication skills in French
- The candidates should have knowledge of SAP maintenance management software, be knowledgeable about ABB industrial robots
- The candidates should understand the use of Cognex industrial cameras, be familiar with TI (Texas Instruments) programmable logic controllers
- The candidates should have knowledge of equipment used in the food sector, be bilingual in French and English
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to intervene to restart a line following a disturbance, break, malfunction, or unplanned shutdown
- The candidates should be able to perform planned work resulting from engineering or continuous improvement activities to enhance production equipment efficiency and performance
- The candidates should be able to check and inspect electrical equipment to prevent defects and ensure quality standards are met
- The candidates should be able to communicate any changes made or complications encountered to the responsible teams in affected departments
- The candidates should be able to assist departmental electrical technicians in manually updating plans, programs, and electrical drawings impacted by changes, and follow up on IT updates with the systems group
- The candidates should be able to enter time and operation details into maintenance software such as SAP and Meta
- The candidates should be able to participate in daily electrical department meetings covering the previous 24 hours
- The candidates should be able to ensure an action plan is in place for unresolved problems before the end of their shift and perform all other related tasks
