Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have relevant experience in municipal infrastructure, construction, plumbing, and/or piping work, underground utilities, and general laboring duties
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be reliable, self-motivated, and flexible team players
- The candidates should possess significant knowledge and skills in the methods, techniques, materials, tools, and equipment used in water, sewer, and drainage-related construction and maintenance work
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be individuals who have received training or completed courses in Public Works
- The candidates should possess a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License with a safe driving record, and they should also be familiar with driving pickup trucks or larger vehicles
- The candidates should submit a current Driver’s Record showing a five-year history along with their application
- The candidates should be prepared to have this document ready to upload when they apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform Sanitary & Storm Sewer Maintenance & Construction
- The candidates should be able to engage in Water System Maintenance & Construction
- The candidates should be able to conduct Trench Excavation & Rehabilitation
- The candidates should be able to execute Pipe Installation
- The candidates should be able to handle General Labouring & Cleanup
- The candidates should be able to undertake Other Related Duties as Required
