Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture or Engineering (Biosystems) or an Agriculture Diploma
Experience: Candidates should have 5+ years of relevant experience, with a strong preference for Agronomy, Agroecology, or Soil Science

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have the ability to be process-focused and strong organizational skills, including electronic file organization
  • The candidates should have strong time management skills and excellent attention to detail
  • The candidates should be highly motivated self-starters who can operate independently with minimum or no supervision
  • The candidates should be willing to travel within Manitoba and Saskatchewan, including periods of up to two consecutive nights away from home

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess or be willing to obtain a Professional Agrologist designation and Project Management experience
  • The candidates should have strong communication skills and be values-driven and possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a personal vehicle

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to analyze, design, format, and produce creative high-quality documents and reports and develop, prepare, and provide statistical reports
  • The candidates should be able to prepare comparative analyses and plan, coordinate, and execute road shows, with potential travel requirements and assist with product displays
  • The candidates should be able to recommend and assist in implementing improved methods and procedures
  • The candidates should be able to provide on-the-job training, direction, guidance, and assistance to other employees in the department
  • The candidates should be able to maintain confidentiality at all times and record and maintain operational records and endorsements
  • The candidates should be able to comply with company policies, collective agreements, and government regulations and liaise with internal and external customers
  • The candidates should be able to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines and work with minimal or no supervision and troubleshoot hardware, software at a first-level capacity
  • The candidates should be able to assist with the compilation of the operating business plan, monitor reports, investigate discrepancies, and calculate accruals, audit invoices and ensure flight crew meals and ground allowances are provided
  • The candidates should be able to process and calculate pay adjustments and expenses, compose, format, and prepare correspondence, operate mainframe printers and related equipment, prepare and distribute reports to meet production printing deadlines
  • The candidates should be able to control and monitor the printing system to maintain availability, serviceability, and reliability, monitor printers for quality control and coordinate maintenance and upkeep of equipment problems
