Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English and French Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of a College Diploma DEC in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation and Control
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should hold a License C (Non-construction electrician skills card) or have cumulative hours (minimum 2500h)
- The candidates should possess knowledge of Rockwell Automation product suites, including Control Logix, Kinetix, Panel View, and Power Flex
- The candidates should have experience with production systems in a manufacturing environment and demonstrate ease in learning new technologies and solving technical problems
- The candidates should possess effective oral and written communication skills in French and knowledge of SAP maintenance management software
- The candidates should have knowledge of ABB industrial robots and knowledge of Cognex industrial cameras
- The candidates should have knowledge of Siemens S7 programmable logic controllers and knowledge of TI (Texas Instrument) programmable automatons
- The candidates should be familiar with equipment in the food sector and demonstrate bilingualism in French and English
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to intervene to restart a production line following disturbances, breakages, malfunctions, or unplanned shutdowns
- The candidates should be able to perform planned work arising from engineering or continuous improvement activities to enhance line efficiency and performance
- The candidates should be able to inspect and check electrical equipment to prevent defects and ensure quality standards are met
- The candidates should be able to communicate changes made or complications encountered to relevant departmental teams
- The candidates should be able to assist electrical technicians in manually updating electrical plans, programs, and drawings, and coordinate IT updates with the system group
- The candidates should be able to perform time entry and record operation details in maintenance software such as SAP and Meta
- The candidates should be able to participate in daily meetings to review electrical department activities over the past 24 hours
- The candidates should be able to ensure an action plan is in place for unresolved issues before the end of their shift and perform any other related tasks
