Salary: $19.00 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: St. André, NB
Shifts: Day, Weekend, On Call, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Staff accommodation available with 50-100 beds, motel, relocation costs not covered by employer, willing to relocate, and hotel, motel, resort
Supervision: 5-10 people

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and manage a large workload efficiently
  • The candidates should demonstrate meticulous attention to detail even under pressure and be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking as required
  • The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods if necessary

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to establish and implement operational procedures for the housekeeping department effectively and plan and coordinate activities of housekeeping supervisors and crews efficiently
  • The candidates should be able to coordinate inspection of assigned areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to standards and supervise staff members in the housekeeping department to ensure productivity and adherence to protocols
  • The candidates should be able to ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met consistently and coordinate maintenance and repair services for equipment and facilities as needed
  • The candidates should be able to maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and uniforms accurately and supervise in-house laundry services to ensure quality and efficiency
  • The candidates should be able to coordinate in-house laundry services effectively to meet guest needs and standards and schedule and assign duties of housekeeping staff efficiently
  • The candidates should be able to coordinate dry cleaning and valet services for guests as required and respond to complaints of guests promptly and professionally to address concerns and ensure guest satisfaction
