Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should ensure the vehicle has a minimum cargo capacity of 50 cu ft (1415 liters), an automatic transmission in the vehicle and power windows in the vehicle
- The candidates should ensure the vehicle has a metal roof-top and an accessory power outlet to accommodate a Canada Post sign and flashing light
- The candidates should ensure the middle of the passenger window sill is between 38” and 45” from the ground and the maximum interior width is 56”
- The candidates should have a fifth door or hatchback to allow for oversized and bulky items to be loaded
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to project a positive and courteous manner when dealing with customers face-to-face to ensure a professional experience
- The candidates should have a satisfactory safe driving record and possess a valid permanent provincial driver’s license – class 5 or G
- The candidates should provide and maintain the required automobile liability insurance for the use of their vehicle
- The candidates should notify their insurance company about the use of their vehicle while employed at Canada Post

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to sort, collect, and deliver mail items safely and in a timely manner
- The candidates should be able to acquire and maintain knowledge of local infrastructure, including roads, customers, and delivery receptacles, to optimize delivery routes
- The candidates should be able to ensure mail is safely secured in their possession during all stages of delivery
- The candidates should be able to process various Canada Post Corporation (CPC) products and services, such as Change of Address Notifications, Damaged Mail, and Items Delivered Bill (IDB)
- The candidates should be able to wear Canada Post identification while delivering and collecting mail and ensure its visibility at all times and lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lb/22.7 kg
- The candidates should be able to make deliveries and operate a motor vehicle in all kinds of weather and traffic conditions
